You’re Not Fooling Anyone (Especially Yourself)
“Man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”— 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV)
“Man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.”— 1 Samuel 16:7 (WEB)
REFLECTION:
You can curate an image.
You can manage perception.
You can even convince other people that you’re doing just fine.
But you know the truth.
Fake strength isn’t about fooling everyone else.
It’s about avoiding what’s actually going on inside you.
God isn’t impressed with how put-together you look. He’s after what’s real.
NOW DO THIS:
Write your answer: “Where am I more focused on how I appear than what’s actually true?”
